SOME “THOUGHT STARTERS” FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION
These are just some ideas to get you started.
You don’t have to answer every question.
Feel free to add anything else.
There is nothing we will consider too

You:
When, how and why did you join EUCMS. How did you find out about it?
Has your involvement with EUCMS had a significant impact on your life? If so, how?
EUCMS itself:
What keeps you involved or what brought you back after ceasing your involvement?
What makes it different to other musical societies (or theatre societies in general) you’ve been involved with?
Is there any special feature(s) of EUCMS which you think is very important, and why?
Your involvement:
What have been your active periods of involvement? (eg “I was involved in shows between 1999 and 2002 and again since 2008”).
What shows did you participate in and in what capacity (eg chorus,
principal, orchestra, production etc)?
If
you had specific roles in shows, you might like to mention what they were.
If/when your active involvement ceased, what was the reason (eg babies/family commitments, moving away, work or other commitments).
If you were involved in other EUCMS activities, what were they and what
was your role
(eg I helped organise a lot of social activities in xx years such
as……).
Memories and mementos:
If you have any special or favourite memories, what are they?
Please be as detailed as you like and include
as many as you wish.
This will probably
be the significant part of your information we will use in the history.
Please be as specific as possible when
identifying shows as we have performed many shows more than once (even three
times) so a reference to " when I did Pirates” would need to refer to the year –
if you don’t remember exact years, the shows are listed in the back of each
program, or just give an approximate date.
Don’t forget, if you have personal photos (not official show photos, we have those) or gifts and memorabilia etc of shows and you would be willing to loan them to us for the historical display, please let us know.
Friends and family:
Did you meet people with whom you became good friends?
Were any other family members involved in EUCMS?
If so, who, and why (eg my children joined
because they thought what I did looked like fun my husband/wife joined because
we never saw each other when rehearsals were on)?
Do you have a family connection with other families in EUCMS?
If so with whom and how did it come
about?
(a lot of couples met through
their mutual involvement, or you might be related to another family)?
